About Ganes
Ein ganzes Leben lang begleiten sich Ganes gegenseitig durch ihre musikalischen Welten. Die Band wurde von den Schwestern Elisabeth und Marlene Schuen sowie ihrer Cousine Maria Moling gegründet, die alle in La Val aufgewachsen sind, einem abgelegenen Dorf in den Südtiroler Dolomiten. Fernab von pulsierenden Metropolen und nah an der wilden, unberührten Natur, verkörpert diese Umgebung die Weite der Welt und lockt jede der drei Frauen, sie zu erkunden.
Gemeinsam traten sie während der Linz-Europa-Tour auf Hubert von Goiserns Konzertschiff auf und ließen ihre Ideen wachsen, um sich zu vielschichtigen, singenden Märchenwesen namens Ganes zu entwickeln. Tief verwurzelt in ihrem ladinischen Erbe und verbunden durch ihre Sprache, haben sie das Glück, ihre Gedanken und Gefühle fliegen zu lassen.
2010 veröffentlichen sie ihr erstes Album "Rai de Soredl" (Sonnenstrahl), verspielt, lebendig und fröhlich. Es folgt 2011 das melodiös-sanfte "Mai Guai" (Nie Schwierigkeiten) und 2012 das melancholisch-verwobene "Parores & Neores" (Wörter & Wolken). Ihr Album von 2014, "Caprize", präsentiert uns authentische und reife Ganes. Sie sind eng mit ihren Lebenserfahrungen verbunden, zugänglich und verträumt und wurden dafür mit dem Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik ausgezeichnet. 2016 veröffentlichen sie schließlich das episch-atmosphärische Album "An cunta che", das von ladinischen Legenden und Dolomitensagen inspiriert ist. Eintauchend in die verzauberte Welt der Fanes, bringen sie sirenenhafte Klänge in die Gegenwart. Das Alte und das Neue stehen sich gegenüber, untrennbar verbunden und aus einer frischen Perspektive betrachtet.
Im Jahr 2018 erleben Ganes eine Veränderung in ihrer Besetzung. Maria Moling verlässt die Band, um sich eigenen Projekten zu widmen. Natalie Plöger, eine neue "ostfriesische Gana", tritt der Gruppe bei. Als Nordlicht, näher am Meer als an den Bergen, ist Natalie eine Kontrabassistin, die auch singt. Mit ihr an Bord klingen Ganes neu und anders. Sie begeben sich auf eine spannende Reise und erschaffen akustische, sanfte und harmonische Melodien.
2021 erscheint endlich das langersehnte Album "Or Brüm" (Blaues Gold), welches von Marlene und Elisabeth Schuen selbst produziert wird und das Wasser, die klare Essenz des Lebens, in den Mittelpunkt stellt. Fließend, kraftvoll, einnehmend, episch... all das können Ganes mit ihrer Musik sein.
Ganes freuen sich, die bevorstehende Veröffentlichung ihres neuen akustischen Albums "A cordes" im Herbst 2023 anzukündigen. Ganes have been accompanying each other through their musical worlds for their entire lives. The band was founded by the sisters Elisabeth and Marlene Schuen and their cousin Maria Moling, all of whom grew up in La Val, a remote village in the South Tyrolean Dolomites. Far from bustling metropolises and close to the wild, untouched nature, this environment embodies the vastness of the world and entices each of the three women to explore it.
Together, they performed on Hubert von Goisern's concert ship during the Linz-Europe Tour, allowing their ideas to grow and evolve into the multifaceted, singing fairy creatures known as Ganes. Deeply rooted in their Ladin heritage and connected through their language, they are fortunate to let their thoughts and feelings take flight.
In 2010, they release their first album, "Rai de Soredl" (Ray of Sun), playful, lively, and joyful, followed by the melodious and gentle "Mai Guai" (No Trouble) in 2011 and the melancholic and intertwined "Parores & Neores" (Words & Clouds) in 2012. Their 2014 album, "Caprize," presented us with authentic and mature Ganes. They are intimately connected to their life experiences, accessible, and dreamy, for which they were honored with the German Record Critics' Award. In 2016, they finally release the epic and atmospheric album "An cunta che," inspired by Ladin legends and Dolomite tales. Immersing themselves in the enchanted world of Fanes, they bring siren-like sounds to the present. The old and the new stand face to face, inseparably connected and seen from a fresh perspective.
In 2018, Ganes experienced a change in their lineup. Maria Moling left the band to pursue her own projects. Natalie Plöger, a new "East Frisian Gana," joined the group. As a northern light, closer to the sea than to the mountains, Natalie is a double bassist who also sings. With her on board, Ganes sound new and different. They embark on an exciting journey and create acoustic, gentle, and harmonious melodies.
In 2021, the long-awaited album "Or Brüm" (Blue Gold) is finally released, self-produced by Marlene and Elisabeth Schuen. It puts water, the clear essence of life, at the center. Fluid, powerful, captivating, epic... all of these elements can be found in Ganes' music.

Per tutta la vita, le Ganes si sono accompagnate reciprocamente attraverso i loro mondi musicali. Il gruppo è stato fondato dalle sorelle Elisabeth e Marlene Schuen, così come dalla loro cugina Maria Moling, tutte cresciute a La Val, un villaggio remoto nelle Dolomiti sudtirolesi. Lontane dalle pulsanti metropoli e vicine alla natura selvaggia e incontaminata, questo ambiente incarna l'ampiezza del mondo e attira ciascuna delle tre donne a esplorarlo.
Insieme, si sono esibite durante il tour europeo di Linz a bordo della nave-concerto di Hubert von Goisern e hanno fatto crescere le loro idee, sviluppandosi in complesse creature fiabesche cantanti chiamate Ganes. Nel 2018 le Ganes hanno sperimentato un cambiamento nella loro formazione, quando Maria Moling ha lasciato la band per dedicarsi ai suoi progetti personali. Natalie Plöger, una nuova Gana dell'"Ostfriesland", si è unita al gruppo. Come un "raggio del Nord", più vicina al mare che alle montagne, Natalie è una contrabbassista che canta. Con lei a bordo, le Ganes suonano di nuovo in modo nuovo e diverso. Intraprendono un viaggio musicale e creano melodie acustiche, morbide e armoniose.
Nel 2021 è finalmente uscito l'atteso album "Or Brüm" (Oro Blu), prodotto dalle stesse Marlene ed Elisabeth Schuen, che mette in primo piano l'acqua, l'essenza chiara della vita. Fluente, potente, coinvolgente, epico... tutto questo può essere quello che le Ganes rappresentano con la loro musica.
Le Ganes sono felici di annunciare l'imminente pubblicazione del loro nuovo album acustico "A cordes" in autunno 2023. Questo album includerà le loro canzoni preferite da tutti gli album delle Ganes e sarà presentato con un suono naturale che vi farà sentire come se foste nelle accoglienti stanze piuttosto che nelle sale da concerto, creando la sensazione di essere tra le musiciste.
